"LMNOP.com: Vinegar is, purely and simply, a really really good rock band. Without resorting to dumb image games and shouting matches, the band just rocks out and has a great time playing...and their enthusiasm is absolutely infectious. The music sounds a bit like The Buzzcocks with John Lydon on vocals...but these guys are not punkers as much as they are genuine rock and rollers. Despite the fact that the overall sound of Rock Fetish is not that unique...the songs are just so goddamn good that you just can't help but love 'em. On the first spin one might incorrectly assume that Vinegar is just another rock band. After the tenth or twentieth spin...it becomes obvious that Rock Fetish is something very special indeed. Cool rockers like Pig 92, I'll Understand, Sunshine Gun, and Too Many Pills will have pop/rock fans demanding more, more, MORE. Truly great uplifting music. (Rating: 5+)"

"Used Wigs: Vocalist John Francis does a solid job powering along this vibrant and inventive pop-punk band with his Keith Morris-like (Circle Jerks) snide-yet-smooth delivery. Their sound is a welcomed throwback to the killer bands of pre-emo, early 90s So Cal heavyweights like Big Drill Car, Down by Law and All, when whiney laments peppered with fake-angst growls were a no-no and big vocals, even bigger melodies, crunching guitars and a good sense of humor ruled the day. Man, I miss that.
The majority of tunes on Rock Fetish are propped up nicely by spirited backing vocals and inventive guitar work that often goes in pleasing, unexpected directions. While they bring the rock in healthy doses, the quieter moments like the pretty little ditty Breathe Again and the acoustic lament Useless'' stand out and show nice range and promise. Too Many Pills is my fave — an initial slow burn that segues into a very rockin' and inspired look at death made happy. - Jeff Lyons"

"All Ages Zine: Vinegar is a fun rock band who really seem to just sort of make music fun to listen to again. In the day and age of diet punk, cry baby, emo crap, these guys just play good rock music that makes you feel, well, good. In the press release I got with the disk even states that it is for fans of: GOOD MUSIC... and it is very true. Just check it out, and if you can maintain a sour mood by the end of this record, well you don't deserve to be happy.(DH)"
