URGENT: Time to stand together! Our Senators @ronwyden and @jeffmerkley need to hear from us TODAY. They have both proposed legislation that would make a huge positive impact on musicians and music businesses affected by COVID-19. Wyden's Save America’s Main Street Act would provide immediate cash flow through a tax rebate and other benefits to help small businesses — including (for the first time) sole proprietorships and freelancers like performing artists, producers, engineers and others who work gig-to-gig. Merkley's Main Street Emergency Grant Program would provide up to $600 billion in grants (not loans) to employers through the Treasury Department to help keep people employed through this crisis. They need to hear from us NOW to know we support these programs! We have word that Twitter is the most important way we can show our support today. Sample tweets and more info available on our new Newsroom page— link in bio and more info in story. Please spread the word! #strongertogether

URGENT! Congress is meeting this weekend deciding who can get relief from the US government because of the COVID-19 crisis. All the politicians keep talking about workers living paycheck to paycheck, but no one is talking about how we live gig to gig. We don’t all have paychecks! They need to hear from us. They need to be educated. RIGHT NOW. The Recording Academy put together a very easy way for you to write your representatives. Link in bio— please go do this right now! Share with everyone who cares about music and music makers!
